HOW TO USE A GS PRO
TO MAKE HYBRIDS FOR GT2
The very first
thing you need to do is get familiar with where everything is. Do you know
what line a port/polish goes on ? If not study the memory editor chart . I have made a chart I reference to all the time, you might want to
make a copy of the chart I made.
Going to make you work a little for this one. We are gong to build a R33 Drag
GT-R. If you do not have one then go earn it. You can win it at the
"Tuned Turbo Car No. 1 Cup in race 2 or 3. So go get you one and come
back.
here is the specs:
R33 Drag GT-R
1011 hp
2821 lbs
I see your back , that was fast.:)
Here we go !!!!
1. Of course install your gameshark PRo and start up the game.
At the screen that starts out saying "Cars included in this game..."
you will need to do this.
Go into GS PRO and turn any codes off and set screen resolution to High 4.
2. Go all the way to the "GARAGE". You do have a R33 Drag GT-R in
slot one don't you ?
Be sure it is there before you go to the next step. If you have one but it is
further down the list just highlight the name of the car and press start. It
will take it to slot 1.
3. Now while in the garage screen (do not have a picture of the car showing)
Go into the gameshark. You need to push the button on the side of the GS PRO.
3. This should bring up a menu. Select "MEMORY EDITOR".
4. This should of brought up another menu. Now push the "SELECT"
button.
5. This brought up yet another menu. Now click on "GOTO ADDRESS"
6. Enter 801CCFB8 and push start.
7. You are now at the first car address. You will see this on line 1.
801CCFB8: 1C E1 OC 18 35 00 00 00
If you do not see this you have done something wrong and need to start over.
8. Now let's do a little weight loss. Go to line 801CCFD8 and change the 4th
and 5th set of 0's to this 9C 04. And change the last 4 0's to 98 00. This is
port /polish. It will look like this
8001CCFD8: AC 0A 9C 04 55 02 98 00
Now push the "O" button or start. Go take a look at the car weight.
should now be at 2511 lbs.
9. Go back into the gameshark and enter the memory editor. We are going to
make a lot of changes now. Change line 801CCFE0 to this:
801CCFE0: 98 00 0C 00 98 00 5F 02
98 00 = Engine balance
0C 00 = Displacement
98 00 = Rom
5F 02 = n/a tune
Change line 801CCFE8 to this:
801CCFE8: CE 01 80 03 03 05 82 00
CE 01 = turbo
80 03 = flywheel
03 05 = clutch
82 00 = driveshaft
Change line 801CCFF0 to this:
801CCFF0: C7 01 21 01 01 00 01 00
C7 01 = Exhaust
21 01 = intercooler
01 00 = anti-spin control
01 00 = traction control
Now push the start button or the "O" button and go back into the
game. You now should have this to drive:
R33 Drag GT-R
3786 hp
2511 lbs
Not too bad was it ? Here is a list of the parts I used.
025F....# 3 n/a tune off a Griffith 500
01CE...# 4 turbo off a 3000 GT
01C7...# 3 exhaust off a Civic Racer
0098...Rom, balance, port polish off the Civic
0121...Race intercooler off a Subaru WRX
000C...Displacement off a GT-R Skyline
049C...# 3 Weight loss off a Legacy GT-B
0082...Carbon driveshaft off a GT-R Skyline
0380...Race flywheel off a GT-R Skyline
What you say the codes do not match up!!!!!
You used a 5F 02 for the na tune !!!!
The part list above is for a
regular gameshark. When you put part codes into the GS PRO memory editor you
need to invert them. 025F go to a 5F 02. Now you need to remember that or you
will be in trouble, things just will not work right.
YOU KNOW WHAT ????? YOU'RE DONE.
I was able to tune the Drag Car to a 7.695 at the 400m run. How about you ?
Here is the complete GS PRO Chart for the R33 Drag Car.
