Regular Gameshark GT2

This was done on GT2 using a version 2.4 gameshark .

1. Go into the gameshark and enter Gran Turismo 2 as a new game.

2. In the gameshark go to the Gran Turismo 2 title you just entered. Put in the money code.

Money code:

801dofca 05f5

3. Now activate the money code and enter the game.

4. At the screen where it starts out saying
"Cars included in this...." turn the gameshark off. From here on out I will refer to this as the "INFO" screen. Push the switch on the side of the gameshark down.

5. Go all the way to the screen "MY HOME"
Turn the gameshark on (button back up) and then back off.

6. You should now have 99,999,999 credits.

7. Go buy a Shelby Cobra Coupe.
Look at he weight and hp. Should read 388 hp and weigh 2299 lbs.
Save game and reset playstation.

8. Go back to the GT2 code section you started and enter a new code. Call it "Engine Rom"
Put in this code 801ccfe4 0098. Activate this code and enter game.

Be sure that only one code is downloading into game. Turn off other codes.

9. Turn off the gameshark at the "INFO" screen.

10. Go to the "My HOME" screen or garage screen. It does not matter which just as long as you do not have a picture of the car up.

11. Activate code. (Turn gameshark on then off)
Check car horsepower now should be at 400hp. If so SAVE GAME.

12. Again reset playstation, enter new code call it "Engine Balance" code 801ccfe0 0098

13. Repeat necessary steps to download codes to car. (Just like you did the money codes and engine rom)

14. Horsepower should now be at 413 hp.
SAVE GAME.

15. Repeat the procedure for the following codes.

801ccfe8 01ce....#4 Turbo
801ccff2 0114.....race intercooler
801ccfe6 025f.....#3 N/A Tune
801ccff0 01c7.....#3 exhaust
801ccfda 21ff......weight loss

You should now have a 1302 hp Shelby Cobra Coupe weighing 590 lbs.

16. Now for the downforce codes.
801b9ec2 00xx ....front
801b9eda 00xx.....rear

Put hex value where the x's are.
To use the downforce codes you load them into the game (One at a time) the same way you did the rest of the codes above. BUT this time you go to car settings to use them. Like if you want 2.55 downforce on the rear of the car you would do this.

Load code 801b9eda 00ff Shut off at the "INFO"screen be in your car let's say the Cobra. Go to a track. Let's go to 400m test run. Enter the setting menu go to Downforce settings go to rear downforce setting and turn the gameshark on the right back off. downforce now should be at 2.55.
If you move the rear downforce you will lose the 2.55 setting. So just hit the X button after you download the code and you will be ok.

With a little tweaking I was able to get the Cobra to run 9.773 thru the 400m test.

Now wasn't that easy. You now know how to make hybrids. You can try this same combination on other cars to see what you come up with.

I did notice that anytime you make car adjustments and went to run the car that the tach was crazy. Just exit track and go right back in and make your run. I did this and also just stayed there to see what happened when the timer counted down. Car ran ok tach problem went away.
